As an ancient imperial capital and the eastern starting point of the Silk Road, Xi´an conjures images of caravans traveling West with all sorts of goods. It still retains part of that trading spirit in a bustling Muslim quarter where the travelers can prove their bartering skills. Xi’an City Wall is the most complete ancient city wall in China. It’s also the most dramatic place to contemplate one of China’s most fascinating cities. However, Xi´an is today better known for the Terracota Army, one of the world´s great archeological wonders, witness to China´s old imperial glory.
